Steve wanted me to imitate Jerry Garcia’s frantic strumming of a high chord voicing in the song Morning Dew in the second section. I, in exchange, got him to change the bass line in the reggae section so as not to sound too much like Driven to Tears by the Police. Despite its imitative derivations, and the fact that we both got a little carried away with effects in our solos, this tune came out pretty good and it’s fun to play live. Then again, all of these are fun to play live.
